Stromlo X-Country track a happy hunting ground for Team Tiger

There were Tiger sightings a plenty at this year’s ACT Schools X-Country Championships at Stromlo. All our athletes ran their feet off and there were a number of top ten finishes.

Among the participants were young guns in the U8s Andrew Camp Liddiard (1st), Sarah Walker (4th), Georgia Donaldson (7th), Ryan Cuzner (6th), Luke Best (14th) and the fast finishing Chloe Smith (1st). All ran their hearts out.

In the older age groups James Lemon (2nd), Andrew McFarlane (3rd), Imogen McDonald (2nd), Meg Freeman (8th), Hayden Todd (5th), Ursula McDonald (7th), Julia Bruce (9th), Darcy Gooday (8th), Taylah Johnston (30th), Jacob Todd (21st), Daniel Sim (19th), Abby Tosic (30th), Mitchell Baker (40th), Ryan Ulrich (12th), Dylan Best (15th), Jack Gooday (14th), Angela Riach (21st), Lauren Robards (6th), David Sim (13th), Joel Blackmore (26th), Rebecca Jarvis (1st), Ryan Weinhardt (39th), Sophie Cahill (23rd), Amy Gooday (30th), Chelsea Moroney (17th) and Rebecca Guest (9th) all did exceptionally well.

Congratulations to Brian Daly our resident distance guru coach who has 4 athletes going to Nationals, including Imzo, Jimmy, Hannah Cadden and Layla Rowntree.

Well done to all the athletes who competed. What a fantastic result in making it to the State Champs in Cross Country.
