New Triple Jump Pit in Belconnen

Work has started this morning on the new runway and pit at Charnwood Oval. The 8m x 2.75m pit and the 51m x 1.25m runway will run alongside the existing discus cages. The construction work is a continuation of the development of high quality athletics facilities in Belconnen being undertaken by Ginninderra.

Built especially for Northside Regionals, the new pit will give older athletes a dedicated TJ and LJ facility that caters for their extra long run ups. As an addition to the club's existing facilities, junior and senior athletes competing in Belconnen's West, now have more opportunities to jump each weekend.

Ginninderra Tigers Athletics and its valued sponsors are committed to developing and improving Athletics in Belconnen and the ACT.
