Join the State U13 Development Squad

Little Athletics ACT is inviting nominations from all registered LAACT U13 athletes to participate in the U13 Development Squad. Dual registered Athletes with the Ginninderra Tiger are eligible to participate in the squad.

The U13 Development Squad provides athletes with the opportunity to participate in a squad environment and receive specialist coaching in their events if choice and to assist U13 athletes to reach their potential.

Participating in the squad also gives Ginninderra athletes the best possible opportunity to gain selection in the ACT team for the Australian Little Athletics Championships (ALAC) to be held in Adelaide in April 2016.

Participation in the development squad however does not guarantee selection in the ACT team for ALAC and it is not compulsory for U13 athletes who want to nominate for the ACT ALAC team to be in the squad. It is however recommended as involvement in the squad not only benefits the athletes by preparing them for the teams event but will also allow them to get to know team management and their potential team mates.

The cost for the ACT U13 Development Squad is $252.00. This includes scheduled training sessions, a two night camp with transport, accommodation and meals and an ACT U13 Development Squad shirt. Athletes are expected to attend all sessions and the camp. There will be no discounts if the athletes choose not to attend any activity.

All fees must be paid by Friday 27th November unless otherwise negotiated. If an athlete is selected for the ACT ALAC team, there is a separate cost.
