Coaching & Mentoring

Coaching

It's not too late to get a little extra help in your favourite event! Speak with any of Ginninderra's Coaches, especially Faye Todd, about your needs.

There is also the Under 15 National Coaching Camp held at the Australian Institute of Sport in October.

Athletics in the off season

Athletics is widely regarded as the basis of every sport, perhaps you just need the right direction over summer to improve your winter passion?

By joining Ginninderra over the off-season, we can develop your speed, agility, endurance and strength. Our specialist Coaches can improve a your technique, flexibility and resistance to non-contact injuries in a safe and social environment.

Seeing you develop to be all that you can be means a lot to Ginninderra. The objective of Little Athletics Australia is for our members to not only progress within the sport of athletics - but in all sports. Kelvin Giles (ex Head of AIS Track and Field Program, Brisbane Broncos, ARU) emphasizes that training must be geared towards the development of 3 things, total structural strength, stability and flexibility. The development of these three qualities will provide the proper framework to develop other skill-based activities like speed, agility, sports skills and lastly conditioning.

We can prepare you so that when your winter season returns you'll be injury free, fit, relaxed and learned a thing or two about mental and physical approach to your own game.

Perhaps with a little help, we can help you be the next Jarryd Hayne, George Gregan, Gary Ablett Jnr, Shelly Gorman, Natalie von Bertouch or Nicole Sykes (who all did Little Athletics).
